Hey ladies!
My crappy insurance company won't cover my seeing an endocrinology unless I have three visits with my regular doctor first. Seeing as my regular doctor is out of network for me, I have decided to just get my own hormone tests done independently. I have been researching on the Net for the best and most affordable companies that do this. I really would prefer saliva test because I have read that they are more accurate and since I have an overwhelming fear of bloodwork, I figured less stressful for me. I have a very strange reaction to bloodwork, and from everything I have read, stress raises cortisol which can give false results on bloodwork.
My question is, how many of you have had saliva tests done? What were the results? Have you had bloodwork done to compare?
If you have done saliva tests, did your doctor do them or did you get them done on your own? Can you recommend a good company?
