Does anyone else use Sandrena Gel at all?

I saw the consultant last week and explained that I have been on the SBD since Jan and am taking vitamins to help rather than taking the Metformin. She is happy with this but I may end up on Metformin anyway, I just want to try the diet way first.

Anyway, she has suggested that around my period my estrogen (sp?) levels drop very low which is why I feel so tired and my skin erupts. She said it could also be the reason for my periods being all over the place.

She has prescribed Sandrena Gel to use during this time to give me a boost. This worries me though as this is a form of HRT. Does anyone have any experience of using it or have any information/advice?
