Default Sarafem?

Has anyone taken Sarafem? Any side effects? I took ONE....yes ONE zoloft and was sick as a dog so they are trying me on Sarafem now. Just wanted to get some feedback on this drug if anyone else was familiar with it. I have read it is a form of Prozac. Is there any pill out there without such crazy side effects???

Yes! In fact, Sarafem IS Prozac, just marketed now for PMDD.

I, too, throw up immediately (withing 20-30 min.) of taking Zoloft. I tried 2 pills!

Anyway, my Dr. who didn't think I had PCOS put me on Sarafem for PMDD (I get wicked PMS and depression for 2-3 weeks a month!) and it works well. Actually, she put me on Fluoxitine (sp?) which is generic Prozac and much cheaper, but the exact same thing.

It's worked very well for me.

Im on sarafem too. I take it for irritability during my peri menopausal years. I like it ok. It does stabilize my mood. I still get pms and anxiety around that time but with sarafem its so much easier to deal with. I started on 20 mg. day but find that 10 mg. a day works fine without the hyperness i would get on 20 mgs. Also on 10 mgs a day I get hardly any side effects and there is no diminished sensation during intimacy. I dont have much desire but once it gets going, its fine. I lost my desire anyway with these menopausal symptoms so i dont think it was the drug or maybe just a small bit was from the drug.
