Our dossier was sent to China on 2/13/03 so we know we have a long wait ahead of us anyway, but the talk was that the wait would soon be shortened by a few months.
Well, now that a suspension has occurred it looks like we'll be back on the normal timeframe, meaning a 13 or 14 month wait. We don't expect to have our daughter home until next year sometime--I'm guessing in March or so. That's all speculation though--we have no idea how long the suspension will be in place. I just hope and pray it doesn't turn into some indefinite amount of time. I hope they can get us back on track soon.
I really feel badly for the families who have already received their referrals and are awaiting travel invitations. I'd be holding on to that little child's picture as tightly as I could!! There are some people who were expecting their referrals last week so they are on pins and needles now. We have no idea how long this suspension will last!
So, here I sit...trying to keep busy. Everyone keeps telling me that it'll all come in time and that this delay is happening for a reason....I say HOOEY! I want my little girl home where she belongs!! Just like in TTC world--I have learned some people just don't know what to say.
OK...I'm done now! Whew...I feel better! Thanks for asking!!

It makes me so sad to hear that your adoption is delayed by this! How awful! I hope and pray that things will clear up soon and that the adoption channels will be re-opened soon so that you can bring Lily home!

I just wish they'd let one of us go over....but I know that's not the right thing to do right now.
Thanks for thinking of me. I hope you're well. I'll have to pop into the other mommy forums to see how things are going for you!
Take care,
Lisa
