Saw Palmetto for hair loss

Hi,
I found a new primary care doctor who knows alot about PCOS. I just saw her yesterday. (I met her 2 weeks ago and she had me get my blood drawn) So yesterday we went over my blood work. My testosterone (sp) level is threw the roof. Guess that explains my hair loss. She put me on Saw Palmetto for hair loss. Has anyone heard of this?

Yes, I've heard of using it for hair loss because it helps reduce the tesosterone levels. Men with prostate problems take it for the same reason. How much did she tell you take? Please let us know how it works.
