Scalp hair success story, need body hair success stories I just wanted to let anyone who is interested know that propecia worked great for stopping my hair loss. I am premenopausal, so that could be why. Pubmed is a great resource for pursuing reserach on propecia's effects on premenopausal women. Good stuff. Just do not get off of it if you start it, or you will lose what you gained. You will have to start from a lower base hair count, which is a bummer becaues propecia just slows or stops hair loss. It rarely grows it back. In my case, I had hair growing back when I first started it. I stopped it becaue three different doctors said that it was contributing to hair growth on my body. Well, if you research on Pubmed, which a resource that a nursing buddy turned me on to, you find that propecia actually inhibits body hair growth. I stopped the propecia, and my body hair had a party. Ladies, make sure that you reserach things that you doc tells you. It is so unfourtunate that so many are full of ****. Anyway, I am back on propecia again. I have not been on it for long, but I can already tell that there is a slight, ever so slight, improvement. I am also on flutamide now.
Now, I have a question. Do any of you have any success with medical treatments for body hair. I have heard that spiro rocks for that, but I have also heard that it makes others body hair and scalp hair worse. I have started on a super low does to get my body used to it. I do not want to freak it out and lose more hair on my scalp. I have also heard about spiro sheds. How long do these typically last. That kind of freaks me out. |
