So I am afraid that I now have diabetes. The past few weeks I have been noticing that I have been using the bathroom much much more. I am thirsty all day everyday, at night I go through 3 water bottles. (I have the bathroom breaks to prove it) I check my bloodsugar every so often, it has been pretty high..250-400. Today I checked it and it was 519! Here lately I have been feeling kinda achy-you know, you just don't wanna move. I have been less hungry, I am a very fluffy girl and I know that has alot to do with it...never the less I am scared!!

If your blood sugars are that high you definately have diabetes. I would highly suggest you see a doctor so you can get your glucose under control. I know it's scary but you do need to get it taken care of. Very bad things will happen if you don't.
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in May 2000 and it scared me when I found out. I knew all the complications and did not want to go through any of them. I started exercising more and went on a diet. I was able to get it under control for a few years before I had to go on Metformin.
I agree..you need to go see your doctor ASAP so you get your body where it needs to be! If you have any questions you can always ask me! I have done pills and am insulin dependent. Just know it's not the end of the world and it's just another challenge to overcome. It just means your insulin mechanism in your pancreas has broken down and the part that needs fixing can't be made. Or that's how I explain it.
Don't be scared, you're gonna be just fine! Keep us posted!

I am diabetic and I have to say my numbers rarely hit 250. YOu really need to see a doc because the damage to your body with such high numbers are irreversible. I say this because I have nueropathy in my feet wich means they are half numb and eventually will b totally numb....don't let it go too long.

Neuropathy usually takes time to happen and is usually seen in diabetic that have been diabetic for years before they even knew they actually were diabetic. I think the biggest thing is getting to the doctor not only so you don't get neuropathy, but so you aren't going to the bathroom all the time. It seriously puts alot of stress on your kidneys! Diabetics are also at high risk for kidney failure. It all goes hand in hand. Best wishes!
