Default scared

I had a m/c abot two weeks ago and I have to go back to the RE on the 21st to ensure that my numbers have gone completely down. Then, if they do I am going to start taking Provera and do a round of clomid. Clomid got me pregnanat the first time. I am scared though....I am scared that I won't get pregnant and I am scared that if I do get pregnant then i will be so nervoous that I will m/c that I will not enjoy my pregnancy. UGH....please to be honest, I don't even feel like having sex. I have been bleeding on and off since 2/22. Anyway...sorry to complain....
Hope everyone is doing okay...

same here, i had a m/c on the 24th March. On clomid too! i have to go back on the 6th May and again it will be provera and clomid.

I've become very positive about it all. Try not to panic about getting pg again, honest i am scared but also very happy that in my mind i know it will happen and then you will be so excited the nerves will just go away. i'm rambling now.

wish you the best of luck

take care!

Caron

(((missmaria)))) sorry that you are feeling so scared. We all know that feeling here, unfortunately. My advice is that maybe you should consider taking a "rest cycle"... not necessarily a rest from ttc, but a rest from active treatment (provera, clomid). After a m/c, very often women will have a natural fertile cycle (even us cysters), so you might actually be amazed to O and/or get AF on your own.

I'm suggesting this because, first of all, it's only been two weeks since your m/c and maybe waiting to see if an O comes naturally will give you some time to cope better with the emotional upset of what just happened. Secondly, if you were to have a natural O and get pr, this may actually have a better chance of "sticking" because natural cycles do not come with some of the disadvantages of meds (like thinning of the uterine lining and drying up of CM that Clomid can).

But whether you decide to go for it this month with Clomid, or natural, I definitely understand your desire to get right back into ttc (a lot of us here belong to the "supposed to be on a rest" buddy group on the ttc board, so come join if you like!)

The only other thing to remember is that chances are in your favor that if you got pr, you'll probably get pr again... and after one m/c, chances are still excellent that you won't have another. All you cn do is take all precautions you can and then let go and realize that we cannot control it. You might want to initiate some blood work to see if you can identify risk factors that can be addressed and this will help you to feel that you are doing something about it. Best of luck and lots of babydust!

((((HUGS)))) Def. listen to Louie - she is one smart and sweet lady. I was going to suggest a little rest from meds, but she beat me to it.

hi Maria
I'm so sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time. It's so difficult to know what to do after having a m/c. In one way you are drawn to trying again because of the desperate hope and desire of having your baby.........but on the other hand it is so scary thinking that it might happen again . I understand where you are at.

I agree with Louie, a rest sounds like a good idea. It would give you time to adjust physically and emotionally. It's hard to know what to do and no decision is easy. Personally I think the break would be best.

Take Care

Amy
