Hello, my name is Robin. It took me quite a long time to be diagnosed with PCOS as well. What helped me was going to an OBGYN that specialized in PCOS, from there they referred me to a reproductive endocrinologist. They are really good at helping people with PCOS get pregnant. My husband and I have not been able to acheive pregnancy yet but my periods have been regular with medication that I have been given for the past 6 months (that's the first time in 8 years), so we are hopefully on our way to having a child soon. PCOS not only can affect reproductive issues, but has an impact at times on insulin use in the body, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. If you are not getting the answers you need from you current doc try to seek someone in your area that really knows about this condition and can help you get on medication to regulate your cycles. I feel confident that you would be able to have another child if you found a doctor who knows more about PCOS, like an RE. I think you will enjoy this sight and find a lot of encouragement in women who are in your situation. PCOS is controllable.
