Question scared to start my meds!!!

Hi everyone- I've had PCOS for 2 years and have not been treated. Just given the famous shove off, since I'm not trying to get pregnant. After much insistance, weight gain, abnormal labs, skin tags and facial hair -I've bbe given Spironolactone 100 mg and Byetta along with my Metformin. I'm afraid I'm going to feel tired. I'm also concerned my Blood sugar will drop since I'm not really a diabetic. HELP!!! Thanks so much.

Thanks so much for the encouragement- I started taking the Byetta Sunday- just feel tired and irritable. Can't blame all that on the Byetta though. Good luck to you as well!!

I tried metformin and I did have a problem with low blood sugar. I had to eat every 2 hours in order to control it. I've stopped taking it and I am trying to control symptoms with the IR diet. Good Luck and I hope the meds help you!

HI I take the metformin and the byetta together and am not diabetic I do not have trouble with low blood sugars either. I love taking the two together for I think the combo has allowed my body to be "normal". I am watching my diet exericising at least 3 times per week and have lost 21 pounds since the first of the year with out the combo I would not have been able to lose any weight. Hope this helps

Does it make you tired? I'm depressed but I know it's because of the way I look and lack of success when I do watch my diet. I just joined Curves and weight watchers. I just seem to feel tired. I'm going to see a Dr. 2 hours away April 11th for my PCOS!!! Yae me! I really appreciate your feedback. Wish you the best and congrats on the weight loss!!

Is the IR diet low carb or something different. Good luck to you.
