Hi,

I'm not sure why you're so scared...millions of women take the pill with no problems. However, there is of course a slight risk of blood clots, especially if you have other risk factors like being overweight. I think if you're so worried you should discuss this with a Dr. There are some lower-dose pills as well although they may not be suitable for your PCOS symptoms, it just depends. Good luck!

I know it is scary starting a new medication. I hve been taking bc pills for the better part of my adult life. I also have had no medical problems as a result of them. The ortho lo is lower in estrogen than many other pills so might help. I also take this one and do well with it. Give yourself a few months to let your body adjust. It does take some time for your body to adjust to the hormones. Good Luck!

Personally I try and stay clear of the pill. I was only on it for 6 months when I was 19 and I found that it screwed with my hormones.
I'm all about doing things naturally ... if you were going to take the pill to regulate your cycle, you could always use Natural Progesteron Cream (NPC).
Is your dr treating you in any other way for your PCOS?
