Default SCARY....umm, symptom??

I have a question, but I'm not sure if this is due to PCOS, or possibly the BC Pills I'm taking. The other night, I got this TERRIBLE chest pain that I couldn't breathe sufficiently for a long period of time. (I could only take shallow breaths.) This has happened before a few months ago, but that night was considerably worse than the others. Now, I've heard that some women with PCOS have had those heart palpatations, or something like that. (There was a thread on it a while back...) However, can it be the BCP's? I'm on Ortho Tricyclen-Lo. I thought I was forming one of those blood clots! (That's a deadly side effect of BCP's doctors try to hide/deny...) I'm 21, a non-smoker....And I'm kind of at a loss here of what happened. I even thought I was having a heart attack! But I'm first-aid certified, and it didn't really fit the description of one....

Anyone have any suggestions as to what happened, and if it's the BCP's??

I have never heard of it being a symptom of PCOS; but I am not an expert!!! Where you upset when it happened? I know sometimes my chest hurts but I ignore it cuz I know the symptoms of a heart attack. (But nobody said that was the smart thing to do!!!) If you are really concerned go to the doctor. I don't THINK it would feel that way if you were developing a blood clot then you would have affects from it by now. Sometimes a blood clot doesn't affect you at all. Sometimes it can cause a stroke. Anyway like I said talk to your doctor about it!!!

I get heart palpitations... sometimes I can't breathe because they come on so fast, but it's never felt like a heartattack.

Sorry I'm not much help.

Check out this thread. Your homocysteine can be high even if you don't take met. You might want to get it checked. It's just a simple blood test.

There are a lot of things it could be, including an esophageal spasm. I got those often before I went on Prilosec, and I didn't even know I had acid reflux! I would definitely see a doctor. Chances are, there's an easy solution.
