I don't think I've ever heard of any adoption scolarships. I know a lot of people fundraise (garage sales, creating & selling cookbooks, etc). The adoption tax credit helps a great deal! Of course, you have to have the $ up front...
We've been saving for years for this but if we hadn't we'd be saving for another year & fundraising.
The good thing is that most of the time (especially w/ international adoption), you don't have to have the entire amount up front. We've paid very little up to now, our big costs will be when we travel & most of that is very flexible as to how much you spend (like how many souvenirs you buy, when time of year you travel, etc).
Since you're going to TTC for a year, I would start saving every penny you can now. You never know how much you'll save in a year (like cut down your cable, maybe trade your car for a less expensive one, don't eat out as much, rent movies rather than go to the movies, etc).
Good Luck!
