Screening for things related to PCOS. . . How would you set up screenings for major illnesses for people who have a family history of things like PCOS, diabetes, and autoimmune dissorders?
I think maybe at every year ending in a 0 (your 10th year, your 20th year, etc.) you should be screened/tested for the diseases frequent in your family and those known to be associated with PCOS. So, a person diagnosed at 16 with PCOS, would at 20 be screened/tested for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid problems, cushings, CFS, MS, sleep apnea, etc. Then at 30, they would again be screened for all those, and at 40 the addition of screenings for problems related to pre-menopause, and at 50 the addition of screenings for problems related to menopause, etc.
This would certainly cut down on cysters having to go year after year after year wondering if they have CFS, cushings, thyroid problems, etc.
