anyone know of a specialist in the seattle area( preferably north of seattle)..I am planning on asking for a referal soon and would like to know what the drs name is first.

Finding a doc out there that accepts Tricare is few and far between. I was never able to find one myself. I have heard recently that Seattle Reproductive medicine works with Tricare patients. www.seattlefertility.com

I am not looking for an RE I am looking for a PCOS specialist...they are difernt (at least in my head) I am thinking UW may have some cause usually they are with the research hospitals

They have specialist for all aspects of reproductive health at Seattle Reproductive. Not just helping people seeking to get pg.

I am a patient of UW... The Womens Clinic is at UW Rosevelt Clinic...a satilite clinic off 45th and Rosevelt. I personally don't reccommend them. They did me do-low cause I am fat.

It will also completely depend on who my insurance will pay for as well. I know back home since the dr was the only specialist I could go see him but it will probably be differnt here...I will definately keep them in mind...

Hi ladies- I'm in the Seattle area as well looking for a doctor who specializes in PCOS and infertility. Any updates? Referrals? I just switched insurance when I moved here a month ago so I'm not even sure anything will be covered since it's a "pre-existing condition". Have any of you encountered this problem?

UW sucks! It took 2 different clinics and three different doctors to get me diagnosed even when I was 380 pounds and had insulin resistance spots all over.

I am stuck with group Health Doctors here in Seattle. So far awful results, but still looking. Still better than my Doc in the DC area- She did not "believe" in PCOS. Thought it was a fancy word for fat. that was fun.
Ange23 - you may want to try Seattle Reproductive medicine. Dr. Thyer. She focuses on PCOS and infertility. I have to pay out of pocket because few insurance companies pay for infertility treatment, but I like Dr. Thyer, very upfront and helpful.
