Default second m/c so many questions

I had a m/c 3 yrs ago found out a week before my first wedding anniversary. I was taking clomid. mc at about 5 wks low progesterone levels- I was on a PCOS study and thought I would find out alot about PCOS and was left with so many questions.

Then me and DH took a break or just didnt think about a baby.

Well suprise we found out we were pregnant with no clomid no Dr.'s nothing, and to top it all off we found out on our 4th wedding anniversary ( Jan. 18, 2007).

1/22/07 found out I am going through my 2nd mc now.

I feel so frustrated right now because I feel like every dr I go to don't treat me for my pcos. I was put on 500 mg of metformin which has helped but I've read alot of articles that state in treating PCOS 1500 mg should be the least amount taken. I also charted for a while after my first m/c tried to do my own investigation and came up with my lp was on the short side and told a dr and he just put it off- I was left with no treatment. Dr.'s actually told me I couldn't get pregnant the finger was pointed at me and two dr.'s pointed at my husband- and this 2nd pregnancy proves them wrong. I am just really lost right now. I plan on going to a specialist I just hope some of the answers are cleared up and I don't leave with more questions.

If progesterone is a chance for saving us heartache of loosing a child - Why are Dr.'s so reluctant to go that route?

I apologize if this posting is long and sounds crazy I just needed to vent a little. Thanks

I am sorry for your losses. I am going through my 5th loss right now. My Dr. doesn't believe in supplementing with progesterone. He says that using supplement is just avoiding the inevitable. He beleives that if it will be a normal pg then your body will produce enough progesterone on it's own to wupport it. He says it should only be given to women that have gone through ivf because they will not produce any til around 13 weeks. I no longer agree with him. I have read to many women just on this board who have had issue with low progesterone and with supplemetation have gone on to give birth to healthy babies. I truly was happy with my Dr til this recent loss. I just feel I got pushed to the back. I didn't even realize I should be seeing a mfm specialist because I have had so lossess. I hope that you will find the Dr that will be compassionate and give you the proper treatment.

update:

Went to OBGYN feb. 9th and he believes the problem is that my cycles are so irregular that when I ovulate the egg isn't top quality.

So he wants me to have AF and then I will be taking clomid and estrogen (certain days) but after I ovulate I will be taking progesterone - I think this dr. was a blessing becuase he mentioned progesterone without me saying anything and he said I would be taking it until Im at my 12th week of pregnancy. THATS SOUNDS SOOOOO GOOD TO HEAR. Both pregnancies I didn't get to hear a heartbeat. By faith I will get pg soon and hear that strong heartbeat and have a healthy 9 months.

metformin 1000 (increased)
bcp to bring on AF
clomid (sometime in March)

I am happy that your Dr is taking a positive approach to all this and hope that the treatment plan he has for you will produce a bfp and that you can finally have a healthy pregnancy. Good luck
