Question second oppinion

Hi Ladies,

First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!

I have a few questions.....I was diagnosed a few months ago but Im not to sure I have PCOS.. my hormones were all normal, my T3 was slightly elevated my periods have been light for 6 months and then just stopped. He gave me provera, couldnt take it .. I took one dose and felt like I was going to die! I did have a period though after takign the one dose. I dont have the excess hair growth, Im about 40-50 lbs over what I should weigh. I have one daughter (9) The one thing I do have (I dont know if this makes a dfeerance or not) is when I was having regular periods (or any period) I had horriable PMS to the point I was ready to off myself! I would just totaly flip out!

Is it possiable the cysts he saw were more then cysts (tumer)? It just seemed like he didnt do enough testign for me. he did a transvaginal ultrasound and i have my PCP do blood teste . The gyno was so gunho on PCOS so I just accepted it.

what do you all think?

~Cathy

Default Hi Cathy!

I am pretty sure, he would be able to tell on the ultrasound, between cysts and tumors. It sounds to me like PCOS...as you can tell, all of us are different and experience difference symptoms. I have had PCOS for over 10 years now and my symptoms have changed over the years. If you are still hesitant about your GYN's DX...ask for a 2nd opinion. It never hurts to ask... Welcome to soulcysters..we are SO happy to have you!
