Question Second time but maybe more feedback here?

Right here is the long story!!
Basically dh and I were ttc and seeing a specialist at virtually 6mth intervals whose only assistance was telling me to lose weight so we got frustrated and stopped going and decided to just let nature take its course!!

Now I was dx pcos 3yrs ago and have been recently having pains on my left ovary area which the doc assured me was good bc it showed my ovaries were active but sent me for an ultrasound to be safe. Went to the ultrasound and my AF had finished days earlier (had pneumonia during AF so couldn't remember exact dates for the tech) but she seemed to pin me down to mid cycle (wasn't sure this was right but what the hey). Anyhow to get to the point, the tech was quite cutting and rude even and not very sympathetic or forthcoming with info except on my way out to say that for someone who has polycystic ovaries that mine didn't look particularly polycystic to her (ie no pcos??) ODD!! Well she also told me I had some follicles which would show the ovaries were active.

Flash forward to yesterday....my AF finished roughly two weeks ago and I remember at the end of it (sorry gross but all was drying up) and I was wiping egg white type cvm and I thought how odd that I could be ovulating on the last day of af but whatever. Now dh and I were intimate roughly a day or two after the af finished (sorry if tmi) but the 27th and 28th feb I was spotting brown stuff (its stopped now I think) and I was INCREDIBLY tired I slept until 11am and then went back to sleep in the evening for four hours more!!! Woke up and still felt shattered. The thing is though, AF isn't due for another two weeks and this was dark brown and nowhere near like a period.

Now my question is could this spotting perhaps be the earliest sign of implantation? Could AF be doing something strange? Was the tech unsure of the stage of my cycle bc PG was about to happen??? I am excited that I may be preggers but at the same time I am trying to be a healthy sceptic and I am so unsure of timing, etc. PLEASE GIVE ME ANY ADVICE OR THOUGHTS U MIGHT HAVE ON ANY OF THE ABOVE!!!

Thanks for listening I think thats me done now.

There are cysters who have PCOS w/o the cysts (the name PCOS is misleading. It's simply one possible symptom).

My SIL who doesn't have PCOS was pregnant w/twins and still having her period. So, yes it's possible. I would suggest giving it a couple of weeks and testing. If BFN, then I personally would find another doctor.

HTH, at least a little. Perhaps someone else can help better.

I'm gonna stop looking back and starting moving on
And learn how to face my fears
Love with all of my heart, make my mark
I wanna leave something here
Go out on a ledge, without any net
That's what I'm gonna be about
Yeah, I wanna be running

Hi Tangie -

Just wanted to add that I am a Cyster with PCOS but I do not have cystsic ovaries ... just as Tina75 stated, the term "polycystic" is misleading.

Keep us posted and for sure let us know if you get a BFP!

Wishing the best!

I can't tell you about the whole CM stuff or if you might be preggers. I can tell you I know there are a few people with PCOS who dont have ovarian cysts.

I would also consider finding a doctor who KNOWS about PCOS, or finding out if your doctor is interested in you bringing in information on PCOS. I fell into the whole "lose weight, exercize, eat better" routine with doctors until I couldn't take it anymore. When we moved I decided that I would find a doctor who KNEW what PCOS was, and how it should be handled. One who understood that it wasn't as easy for some to lose weight as others.

I did want to let you know that as far as the ultrasound check not giving you information, to my knowledge they are not allowed to. All I know is that it has something to do with them giving you medical information and your ability to sue them if it's wrong and such. Pretty much whenever I go in to get a xray, ultrasound or something like that done I might ask them to point things out to me, but I dont ask specific questions.

Sorry I can't help you with the other issues.

Tangie,

I'm another cyster without cysts...I have immature follies only, but no cysts ( at least that was the case last time they looked).

I have experienced the same type of bleeding/cm when I was not on meds to help with the pcos symptoms. Unfortunately pcos can cause all the things you mentioned at anytime throughout your cycle. Are you on meds of any kind or charting your cycles?
On the other hand, it could be a pg thing *babydust to you*. I would suggest waiting a couple weeks for af to show or not, then test. I hope everything turns out the way you want...This pcos ttc thing is so difficult to go through *hugs*

Thank you all for your replies.

I suppose I was not that clear as to what my ? was really. I am pretty aware of being pcos without cysts and having symptoms of etc. I did used to have cysts - three years ago which what I found peculiar was their sudden disappearance!

I suppose (as is every other woman here) I was wondering more about the PG thing!! having never been pg before and not having a clue what to look for, I was just more or less looking for advice on that side of things.

As an update, I had the brown spotting for two days which is now gone. I know it is like FAR to early to test but I did and it was neg buuutt being obsessive bout this, I put it to the side (and i know this isn't accurate but its interesting) and a day or so later I picked it up and a positive should show a pink dot and there was a faint pink dot there that wasn't the day before!! I just have to do the 2ww thing now and hope for the best.

Still tired though, have a bit of a chin breakout and down there sort of below the ovary area it feels active?? Dunno how to explain it really...lots of tugging / pinching type strange feeling...and I have noticed lots of discharge (sorry if TMI) in the past day like lots of wetness in my undies and kinda white stuff which is not very cvm like?? Hmmmm can't wait until I can do this HPT ALREADY!!!
