Default Seeing Dr Keeping for Infertility for #2

I know this probably sounds silly. I've been trying to concieve since late last year. That's when i went off the pill. I am getting my period 5 weekly but still no luck. I really want another and not too far in between . Can i be ovulating but something blocking me from getting pregnant. With my daughter i wasn't even getting a period. I am this time round. i can't figure out why nothing is happening.
Do you think i am asking for help to early? What could he do to help me get pregnant even though i am getting a period. I just don't understand my body.

Huggles

Hey, you can certainly be getting your period but not ovulating. Its annovulation, thats what I have. Its not too early to ask for help. I take it you have been diagnosed already with pcos, so that should help your doctor know that you may have troubles, and it seems that you are. I sort help within around 8 months. I know they say 12 months, but I had already seen a RE yrs before because of my diagnosise, so I just went to my local doctor and got a referral back to him. He put me on clomid straight away and upped my does of met to 1500mg daily.

Are you on any meds? I am currently on metformin. It can help regulate your cycles. Alot of ladies have fallen pregnant from taking met alone!

I know with my RE he is happy for us to try clomid for a few rounds first, then if nothing happens, we will do further testing of myself and my parnter. He is doing it this way due to me having PCOS, so we are hoping thats the only reason we are having troubles falling pregnant and hoping the clomid will fix that!!

I HTH..feel free to contact me anytime!! G/L with your TTC journey!!

BABY DUST TO YOU!!!

I have always got a fairly regular period and have never ovulated on my own.
Dr Keeping may suggest clomid, injectibles, etc.........depends. He will probably do some tests to see if you are actually ovulating first.
One of my good friends went to Dr Keeping and LOVED him - hope you do too.

I went to Doug Keeping with my first baby. I needed Clomid last time. The ultrasound they did found two good size follicles. It's still now working. I wonder if there's something else stopping it.
I use to come here before just haven't much since having darling daughter i guess i'm wanting some advice...

I haven't started clomid yet. I have to see Dr Keeping first to see what he thinks. My gp was wanting me to wait a while to see if i could fall pregnant naturally. Though nothing is happening at the moment. I pretty much begged gp to give me a referal to see doug keeping. She said that she would have given me some but gps aren't allowed to anymore because they've been thought to abuse the drug.
I'll see doug keeping in early july. This month i'm not allowed to get pregnant as my gp has put me on strong antibiotics that i can't take if you're pregnant. I really want to get over this bad chest infection first anyhow.

He's a member of the queensland fertility group. He's one of the best ob'gyns in australia. I would totally recommend him.
Also he favours vaginal birth and you're less likely to get tears from what i hear. He's got small hands lol that's what another mother told me lol. I really didn't look lol.

I booked to see him about two weeks ago and i'll be seeing hims in a month. About 6 weeks for me. They did ask if i've seen him before. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I would get your doctor to write referral to see him. I think he's not too bad time wise. I know some people that take 3 months to get into theres.
Last time i saw him it was around 60.00 but that's not the first consultation so it could be 100.00 or something. I have heard that he's gone up in price but most of them have anyway. I heard he was the last one to up his costs.
It's well worth the cost believe me.
