I have never joined curves, but I used to belong to Women's Workout World, and I really liked it. I would say that, rather than relying on a drug, change your diet. You will have better, healthier, more permanent results than using a drug. Drugs make it more likely that you will gain all the weight back, and then some, after you stop using it.
There are some products (natural) that can help with your weight loss, safely, but diet and exercise are the best. If you feel that you need some help, here are a couple I recommend - they can take the frustration out of the equation:

These products are HEALTH products that also happen to help with weight loss (and are therefore marketed that way). For example, the product called "SF" is excellent, because it is also a liver strengthener - it helps to break up fatty deposits in the body, including the liver - and is good for the intestinal system to get RID of those fatty deposits, etc. The product called 7-keto is actually for the Thyroid, and that makes sence because a weak thyroid can cause weight gain.
