She will only have one more week with us and then school will start. They have to start on Aug 16th this yr. We are on week 5 out of 6 We have been buying here some clothes on Ebay. She has 6 outfits coming this week.
Our Iguana Cyrus died. He was sick for a while. He was such a great pet. I miss him. I know it seems stupid to miss an Iguana but he was a member of your family. Here is a couple pictures of him. It was taken about 2 weeks before he passed away
Hope everyone is doing good

Sometimes I am at my door unlocking it and wondering where my doggy is, then I remember he passed away in January. I'm sure Cyrus was loved and cared for very much and had a great family. Hold off on the crabs! lol
Stephanie, how was the wedding? Or is it this weekend? Did you guys ever do the book of yourselves for the kids? (I think that was you talking about it, sorry if it wasn't.)
dede, how's the job hunting going? Any good leads yet? I hope you get something right away. Did bf ever get his final paychecks?
As for me, I'm headed to the Bay Area tomorrow morning for a little vacation for a week. I might have to cut it short because we found out today that my cousin has a brain tumor thats on or pretty close to her brain stem. (I think thats right.) They will probably operate tomorrow and I guess there's only a small chance of recovery. She is a twin and has twins plus one more. She is the cousin that is always hugging everyone and telling them she loves them. I don't understand why God always takes the best people first. Please say a prayer for her.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a good weekend. See ya all when I get back.

Yep, we finished our book (lifebook) back in April. They will be giving it to the foster mom on Monday when we go for our first meeting (presentation). Then on Tuesday we will get to meet the kids! Then Wednesday I fly to Indiana for the wedding and come back on Sunday and we begin visitation with the kids!
Denise, I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been able to find work yet, that just sucks. I really hope that something comes up for you guys!
Heather pm'ed me, and she has been caring for her sick FIL. Plus she just finished up the classes and final homestudy! So that is really exciting! Lets all keep praying that they have kid(s) in their home soon!
As for me, well yesterday my co-workers thru me a going away lunch (a few days earlier because everyone could be there), and let me tell you that it was a pretty emotional day for me! I have been working with these people since 1999! I will still be coming in from time to time to handle things, but not full time anymore... and that is just crazy. Not to mention that I think everything with the boys is finally sinking in... I get to see the faces of my little boys next week! That is HUGE.... okay now I'm getting all teary eyed again... gotta go!

When i left my last job after more then 4 years i was sad and relieved. As the GM told me his goodbyes he said that i did an excellent job for him and if i ever needed anything he would be there. That was huge cause this GM has a bad temper and never says anything nice. I got so sad then when i got in my car to leave i pulled out of the building (my office was right by a big roll up door so i just pulled my car in when i had to get things from my office. I looked back and tears came to my eyes. Then i had a bit of confusion cause i was so sad to leave these people that i spent more time with then with my own family but the job was stressfull and there was always lots of internal argueing going on so i did not know if i was sad or what. I know i started playing the song Take this job and shove i aint working her anymore. lol.... That was so sweet of your co-workers to give you a lunch.
Ok, i started getting emotional when i thought about how you were finally meeting your boys!!!!! oh that is so great. You will be a great mommie.
how is everyone else doing?
big hugs

Okay okay I've been MIA. I'm such a bad girl. I'll try to do better. Hey Steph, remember that little girl I was telling you about. Well it fell through. The social worker found a family who was willing to take her closer to where her mother lives. And they have to try to place them as close to their parents as possible so they can say they made it as easy as possible for the parents to make their visits. BLAH so now I'm sad. Oh well I'm sure there will be another kiddo right?
For everyone else, BIG HUGS! I will stay updated on this thread from now on. I just don't have time to go back and catch everything I missed. Sorry! I've missed ya'll!! |
