Lori, well at the very least he wasn't avoiding you and that is good... but I do hope he feels better! And man, England is being a real pain!

Heather, how did you guys fair out there with all the rain and stuff... was Ivan mean to you guys?

Denise, what's the word, girl? Anything new?

Miss... how are you babe?

Andrea's havin' girls, Andrea's havin girls!!! Oh man... the pinkness is going to be awesome!

First let me say this, I love my boys, and in the grand scheme of things I am so happy they are home... but I had a melt down yesterday and it wasn't pretty! Anthony (oldest) and Austin (youngest) are the two whinest kids I have ever met... sleep too long, whiney... not enough sleep, whiney... hungry, not hungry... just to hear themselves whine, whiney! And no one will gosh dang use their freakin' words to say what the heck is so terrible that they must WHINE. By the time my DH got home all that was left in me were yells of my own, which meant I had spent way to much time listening to that. Well, he doesn't even pay attention that dinner is ready and I'm trying to get it on the table, but it is taking me extra long because we bought a new table and it had just arrived and I hadn't even gotten the booster seats attached. He just came in changed his clothes and sat down at the computer in our room to take care of some stuff... and my calls for help fell on deaf ears. Then when I finally got his attention (going in the room and making loud and moving gestures) he was all "What? I never heard you call!" Then at dinner the boys had the worst manners, food was all over them and Austin was crying because he couldn't get enough on his already heaping fork... I was reduced to tears for the rest of the meal. DH ended up leaving with Anthony to take the old table and chairs to my parents who wanted them and things got a little better... but not by much! When he got home and the kids went down for bed, I went to McDonald's and got a LARGE CHOCOLATE SHAKE and took my time driving home!

Sorry for the novel... I just needed to get that out there!

Hang in there Steph! Sounds like you deserved your shake! Have you checked to see if the oldest one is eligible for Headstart? or any other early childhood learning program? It might just help...they are usually free for foster/adopt kids and low income families and some take three year olds. Just an idea to help keep the sanity. lol

Hey ya'll sorry I've been MIA again but we had to evacuate with Jordan b/c of all her electric machines. Our house made it through fine. So did my grandparents even though they had wind gusts of up to 100 where they were! What a mess. I can't wait for hurricane season to be over. They are coming to get Jordan Thursday this week! I am going to be so sad. =0(

Andrea,

BIG huge congrats on having girls! I am so happy for you. Thinking of names yet? LOL Good job on dragging it out until we were crazy. Oooh big heads and big brains. I'm sure they brains are from you. LOL Big head is from your hubby of course. LOL JK

Miss,

Jordan is on an apnea machine and oxygen. Rich sounds like a good guy. Awesome about one cyst.

Dede,

Jordan still has the darned cold. I'm so sorry things are so bad for you right now. I'm keeping you in my prayers that things will straighten out really soon. I'm like you with having to have organization in my life.

Steph,

Yes life is sooooo crazy. I can't imagine three. Are you still actively TTC? I'm glad your bee sting is doing better. I hear ya on the criminal activity as a result of whining. Jordan has this one high pitched cry!! Oye makes you want to cry yourself. Drives you nuts. Of course I'll miss her like crazy though. Tell Andy not to feel bad. Ronnie had a hard time adjusting too but now he and Jordan are like two peas in a pod. Fixing to be one pea and that's what has me worried about how he will be when she leaves. Thank God the majority of Ivan missed us. I just feel so bad for those it did get. Don't you feel bad about the upset either. I yelled and cursed Ronnie out b/c Jordan aspirated throw up and I was trying to suction her out and she'd puked on me too and I'm in her room screaming for Ronnie who was sleeping. Finally I banged like a madwoman on the wall! He came in and I yelled didn't you f'en hear me? I was so upset b/c the baby wasn't breathing right. It was wild. So don't be down on yourself. You'll get things all figured out.

Ooh,

I hope the England situation works out soon. Homeless and jobless. Wow something better come through.

Hugs to everyone. Sorry if I missed anyone.

Lori, wow, I can't believe no confirmation from England. That truely sucks the big one. Good to know that brit boy is sick and not just being an ass. LOL.... YOu know what i mean.

OK, Thursday and Friday fiance's boss let me work in her office to make a few extra bucks. SO that was nice and greatly appreciated. It acctually did my mind wonders by getting out of the house and working. She took us out to dinner friday nite and told me she wants me to work a couple of days a week just running errands and doing whatever for her til I find a job. She said it will help us and help her. We went out on their boat yesterday and I lost my glasses. GRRRRR.....

I am still stressed cause I can't make ends meet and I hate that hopefully something will happen soon.

ok, how is everyone else doing.

hugs

How is everyone else doing? Any big plans for the weekend?

Steph,

Boy I felt so bad for being MIA again even with all the stuff going on here but nobody else has been posting either. Let's see... ummm I'm holding it together okay. Yesterday I cried for a while. Jordan left Friday. Tuesday they called me and asked me to do respite Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for a two year old that they are considering us for adoption for. She is coming available in January. She spent the night and did really well with the babies and my dog. We really want to adopt her but we won't hear more until later. Also the day before Jordan left they called and asked if I wanted to be a promise home for a three week old. They dropped her off the next morning. Her name is Tina Marie she has red hair and blue eyes and is just gorgeous. We are loving her already. She's so quiet and well behaved. I'm still missing Jordan like crazy but I'm sure it'd be much worse if Tina wasn't here. It is also cool that she isn't on the machines so I get to take her places and actually get out of the house. Jordan's aunts have called and they said she's doing really good and not cranky at all. I think they are full of it b/c I had her for two months and she was always cranky. They probably just don't want me to know that they are having difficulty. That's fine with me I just hope that if they need to know something they call me. Anyway enough blabbing. Gonna post some pics of the kids then off to bed. Alexis is back at her current foster mom's house but they are going to let us know soon if we can adopt her. She's such a cutie and smart as a whip. She's a tomboy like me. LOL

Dede,

Glad you were able to make a few bucks! I know you need it. That really sucks about losing the glasses though!

Steph,

Almost forgot to ask about the boys??!! How are they? Has the whining stopped yet? =0)

Here is a pic of Tina and Alexis. I forgot to mention Tina is three weeks old and 7 lbs. She was born on the 7th of this month. Such a teenie little thing.

Wow Heather... they are so cute. I didn't realize you had that much activity of kiddo's coming in and out. But it sounds like you have several really good possibilities in the near future for adoption.

Yes, the boys are doing so much better...I'm pretty convinced now that it was just another milestone in the adjustment phase. And once again things have settled back into a much better routine!

Denise, how are things going... are you still able to take on odd jobs for DF's boss lady?

Misscoyote, what's new? How's the bike... and Mr. Really Nice Guy?

Lori, anything new with England?

Andrea, how are things going? How are you feeling? How are those sweet baby girls doing?

Who else is still out there, but hasn't posted recently?????

Steph,

So the boys adoption is already final? I thought it took longer than that. LOL I am glad that they are doing better with the fussing. Mine is fussing at me now. She's a gassy little one. Oh there usually isn't that much activity in and out with kids. It just all happened at once and believe it or not they actually called me this morning wanting me to take another one. I said no. I am going to wait until I hear if we can adopt Lexie or not.

Hugs,
Heather

No the placement isn't final, we have our consumation hearing in February 2005 for the final paperwork (6 months after initial placement).

Wow... so many babies, so little time . It seems so sad that there are so many out there, but at least that is more opportunity for you guys to receive and keep a precious little one.

They just took Tina back at 1. Apparently some jerk judge disagreed with OCS and gave custody back to the mom.
This is such bull. The mom didn't even have the mental capacity to understand when the judge said she could have the baby back. OCS is going to try to monitor her so they can take her back into custody soon and give her back to us. We'll see.

Then here's another stinker. Jordan's social worker calls me this morning b/c she heard Tina was leaving. Turns out that Jordan's new foster father has a criminal record. Dumbass OCS didn't wait to see that b/4 they transferred her to him. So they are having to call the sherriff's office and see what the arrests entailed to see if they can retain custody of Jordan. They wanted to know if I would take her back if they have to terminate their custody.

As far as Alexis, They are still moving her case to the adoptions division. The social worker is trying to set up visits to start transitioning her to our home. Wish us luck on that. I want to be able to keep at least ONE!

Steph,
Okay about the consumation hearing. I bet you are hoping that comes quick. I want to see more pictures of the boys. I have lots of time on my hands now that my house is EMPTY. Maybe I'll paint the office this weekend.

Gee Whiz, Heather... but I can say from the experiences we had dealing with CPS over here.... THEY SUCK! Actually Texas is in a heap of trouble right now with the federal goverment due to several child deals that went directly back to CPS.

I will work on getting more pics up!

Steph,

I totally agree OCS sucks! They tell you one thing then do another. They take their sweet time to the detriment of the children. It would be so much easier on Alexis if they would go ahead and move her here before moving her case. I didn't know Texas was in trouble? I wish that moron judge would be in trouble. Hopefully the baby is safe and taken care of. I think that's the most important thing that SHE doesn't suffer.

I wonder where everyone else is?

Hugs,
Heather

Hey!!!!

I am going to make this one a quickie. i haven't been able to get online b/c they cut my service off. Well i guess that happens when you don't pay the bill. LOL....

df's boss has given me a temperary full time job w/ very little pay only 300 bring home a week. I really did make a difference. A little pressure is off. But it truelly is **** work most of the time. I did get to shop all day weds. and spend their money so that was fun. LOL

df sold the boat so i could make my mortgage payments of September and october. So that s a big relief. He lost his ass in the deal but hey he shouldn't of bought it anyways. jk.

Steph, How are you doing? Glad to hear the boys are settling down some.

OMG! Heather, your house is sounds like a swinging door. Whats up w/ Jordan now. Do you have her back? I hope that the little girl does get to come to you permantly. THat would rock!

How is everyone else doing?

hugs
