Hey ladies.

I hope it's OK to post this here. I know it's a bit OT, but it does relate to food!

I bought some chicken thighs a couple days ago. The package says "Sell by 1.12.08" That's Saturday

But how long can it stay in my fridge and still be safe to eat before freezing?

Typically Tensei, you can only keep meet in the fridge for a few days before it goes bad. If you are wanting to use them past a few days, I would freeze them now.

Yeah, I've always been taught by my mother that the limit is about two days...three would be pushing it, but still safe.

Yeah, I think I want to use them on Sunday. That's only one day past the "sell by" date.

If I am not going to use it by the sell/use date I freeze it. Until then I'll keep it in my fridge.
