I have tried every single possible skincare line for all these years thinking my breakouts were because I wasn't cleaning my skin deep enough. HA.
Anyway, this year I stumbled across two different skincare lines I really liked that have helped my skin ALOT.
One is Serious Skin Care, that same one sold on HSN (Home Shopping Network). Who knew? I never believed the hype, but my best friend in Ohio bought me a sample set of their "Basic" line with glycolic acid and I love it. My skin is naturally oily, and I have always been prone to blackheads and clogged pores, but this system has really truly unclogged my pores.
Another system I found through a mail-order catalog is DHC Skin Care. It is a system developed and sold throughout Japan. Most products have a base of olive oil. I have to tell you, I never thought adding oil to my skin would help, but it does. Their Deep Cleansing Oil really breakouts down the sebum on my face without drying it out. And their Mild Soap doesn't strip my skin. Right now I am using their Deep Cleansing Oil everyday, the Facial Wash, Balancing Toner (with glycolic acid) and their emollient balm moisturizer. It keeps my skin soft and keeps the pores clear.
You can get samples of the entire Olive Oil Essentials line at
www.dhccare.com if you are interested.
I have been switching between these two regimes for about 2 months now, but prior to learning about Serious Skin Care, I've only used DHC for over a year and it really did help.
Just my two-cents-worth.
