I have recently been getting severe back pain every time af is due. My entire lower back feels as if there's knots all over in it. This time my right side got it worse than the other side. Even taking a pain killer doesn't help much. This time it lasted for a week, but is very faint today. I have to stop all physical activity due to the pain.
Does anyone else get it this bad or is something going on with me that I should have checked out?
I would get severe back pain like that too. Mine was caused by endometriosis. When the lining in my uterus grew, so did all the lining that was outside my uterus. It made for an extremely painful AF. Where is the pain? Mine was always in my lower back and ran down my legs. There were times when I couldn't walk because it hurt so much. Hope you feel better soon.
Patty

Well, I don't know what AF means...but I do have very bad lower back pain before & during my menstrual cycle. It gets very bad at times - keeps me up at night. I also have endometriosis though - which I think is part of the problem.

I have endo too and get that same kind of pain. I can totally feel down my legs too. Two cycles ago, it lasted three weeks before af came. I tried EVERYTHING short of killing myself...

Hello, in response to your inquiry on low back pain. I get low back pain so severely that I can't get up and have to lay flat on my back with a heating pad for hours. I have been diagnosed PCO but am seeking to find out if I have endemetriosis as well so you should consider that as a possibility as well. Hot baths, massage and acupuncture as well as OTC pain killers have given me some relief. The pain sometimes radiates down on or both legs and is more consistent on my right side. It is also often accompanied by sweating and pelvic pain in front too, usually towards the end of my cycle near the time when a normal woman would menstruate (around day 28-30) and lasts 3-5 days or sometimes longer.
