I was told I have pcos, along with hypothyroidism, hbp. Here lately I have been having severe mood swings, along with my hands shaking, I also can not seem to get my words out. I know what I want to say but the word will not come out. Does anyone else have these same problems?
Blood sugar imbalance, most likely hypoglycemia, or maybe type 2 diabetes, but your doctor probably would have told you if it was that. Hypoglycemia can cause the shaking and mood swings, and the part about not being able to get a word out, that is probably related, too. Plus, it is common in women with PCOS.
If it is hypoglycemia OR diabetes, be sure to eat regularly, and avoid sugar. Eat high protein breakfast, like eggs, then eat a snack or small meal mid-morning, like fruit (if you can handle fruit... SOME with hypoglycemia can't) or veggies, cheese, yogurt with fruit in it, etc. Then eat a smallish lunch, then a mid-afternoon snack, then dinner... the big thing you need to focus on, is avoid sugar. Read lables... look for words that end in "ose." If you see one, it is sugar, lay off. Dextrose, fructose, etc. Honey is probably ok, xylitol is great, stevia is great if you like it. Artificial sweeteners (like aspartame and splenda) are chemicals and have bad effects on women with PCOS, and might make your PCOS symptoms worse. But natural foods will be wonderful for you, veggies, fruits, lean meats, eggs, nuts, legumes, etc. If you bake, use xylitol instead of sugar. Or erythritol if you can't get xylitol (there is a shortage), but it isn't quite as sweet as sugar (xylitol tastes exactly like sugar, and is granulated so it cooks the same).
Just remember to eat regularly, and lay off the sugar!

I know what you mean about mood swings. I have them too.
I also have a problem getting words out. Like you said, you know what you want to say but to say them is a different thing. I was just telling my husband that I feel like I am stumbling over my words alot lately. Sometimes I stumble over words or they are slurred. I wish it would go away. It is so frustrating...
I had to leave my job because of this problem, I also threw such a bad tantrum in shop once that I nearly got arrested, it was over something sooo simple but I went c-r-a-z-y!! Once I figured out my diet issues which helped balance hormones slightly, it improved 100%.
I find it very scarey when you can't control your moods or what you're doing/saying. Hope you find a way of helping how you're feeling soon. Let us know
