Actually, come to think of it, yes. My sex drive started going down hill when I started Diane 35. I did however start at the same time as being diagnosed so it might have been the dx that brought me down. I've been off the Diane for two years and it still hasnt come back

My drive went from high to zero in the first three months on Diane-35.
My gynae then took me off it and said that if my sex drive had not come back by then it never would do so better to try something else. She then gave me Nordette - on that my sex drive is still pretty low but better than the Diane-35.
Suggest you go back to your doctor and ask for something else.
Nope. I was on Diane for 2 years and never had that problem.

been on it for more than 4 years now and to be honest....it seems like my sex drive is MUCH higher than before...

Diana24, I wanted to know, before going on the Diane 35, did you have PCOS symptoms? Especially hair-loss, fat abdomen, or acne? If so, did the Diane-35 help? I am interested in it because of the antiandrogen cypertone acetate (sp I know)...Tia!

I was taking Dianette which is the same here in the UK. I've been on it for about 10 years and have to say that at the moment, I have no sex drive at all! Combine that with the migraines I used to suffer in the 7 days off and I can't say I enjoyed it.
Am so annoyed about it that I went to my doctor last week and he's changed my pill. Not expecting great things, but if the migraines go away, that'll be great, but if the sex drive comes back, I'll be on cloud 9 (and no doubt so will my husband!)

I'd be very interested to know what new brand your doctor switched you on to when you stopped the Diannette (Diane 35).
When I had no sex drive on Diane 35, my doctor changed me on to Nordette - slight improvement in sex drive but I found that I put on weight on that one.
My doctor has put me on Microgynon. It's just a bulk standard pill with no anti-androgen effect. I used to take it before I started Dianette and can't remember having headaches on it, so I'm hoping they will stop.
I can't say that I noticed a major improvement to my PCOS symptoms on Dianette. I had to have some very powerful drugs to stop my acne and laser hair removal to sort out the hair on my face. I took Spironolactone for a while, but that did strange things to my emotions and mood and dropped my sex drive even further (if that's possible!) Had to stop taking that and I'm hoping that taking Microgynon will not bring on a relapse of my acne. It's been 3 years since I took the powerful drugs to kick it, so I'm hoping I might have grown out of it! As long as the bad headaches stop, I'll be grateful and put up with everything else.
But of my sex drive came back - even a little bit - I would be soooooooo happy! But it's too early to tell as I've only taken 3 of my new pills!
I put on a lot of weight with dianette which I'm struggling to lose. My boobs went from C cup to G cup! So I don't think weight gain will be a problem!
