Default Sex drive on Yaz?
Hopefully, I'll be starting Yaz this week - I was wondering how it effected anybody's sex drive? Mine is normally high, and I'd like to keep it that way.

it didn't affect mine, but my friend said it made hers go up. i've heard all different things. definitely bigger bb's for everyone though.

I have been taking it about 8 months now and didn't connect it to my nonexistent sex drive until just now. I finally decided to check side effects because I have had ZERO interest in sex- no thoughts, urges NOTHING!!! Normally I am a high sex drive gal. Do a google search and you will see A LOT of forums with posts about Yaz destroying the sex drive. I am going to research switching BCPs. It doesn't happen for everyone but it sure did happen to me.

Update: 3/5/09 I have been off of Yaz for a week and a half and I am extremely happy to report that my sex drive is back in full force (my husband is beyond thrilled). So for me it was definitely the Yaz that was causing the problem for me. I hope whoever else is taking it that they don't have this terrible side effect. Good luck ladies.
