The only way I can minimize this that I've found so far is to take a hot steamy shower, use a girlie shaving foam, shave gently, apply more foam for a soak, then when I get out of the shower, rub all over my legs with tucks medicated pads.
WTF? Why do I have to do that? Is there an easier way I'm missing here???

that same thing happens to me, especially on my thighs.
i also hate shaving because even though i shave it still looks like i havent because the hair starts growing back instantly, i wish i could be dipped in a vat of stuff that makes the hair never grow again.!
this is why i hardly ever wear shorts!
I bought this stuff yesterday that I am hoping will work, it's made by Bikini Zone ans it fights bumps and irritation but im gonna use it for my thighs too, im sure it'll be ok. i will let you know how it works out.

A couple things I've noticed that help with razor burn ...
1. PAT your legs dry, don't rub them dry
2. I don't use girlie shaving foam as it gives me awful burn, I use either just soap or hair conditioner
3. Aveeno hair minimizing lotion every day and now I'm shaving every other day (that's more for Amy Green Eyes)

Despite everyone else's success with this product, I've had a REALLY horrible experience with it. I'll never use it again. I posted under Bad Experience with Magic Cream.
I usually only get those bumps if I shave my legs dry, which I hardly ever do. Normally I shave in the shower with water/soap only. Make sure you're using a good quality razor too. And don't re-use the same blade too many times.

I used the Intuition razor (it was recommended to me by another Cyster) as it has this like thick block of lotion shaving balm around the edge of the blades, which means you can use it in the shower or bath easily. I have the sensitive one... I have to say, I hate/d shaving, but since I got this I have found it much easier and quicker and the bumps that I had have lessened somewhat. I don't think it's a miracle cure, but it definitely makes the shaving process a little less traumatic - especially if like me you have to shave a lot because it grows back almost the instant you have removed it!
I also use Ingrow Go, which is like Tend Skin... it's good for taking down the bumps and lessening the chances of infected pores/ingrown hairs.

I tried the new Veet yesterday and I love it. I got it a little too close to my pubic hair though and now they look kind of melted! I would use it again though.
Shaving sucks!! I do love to be smooth though.....

Counting the days until my husband comes home from Afghanistan, December 4th at 8:33pm, but hey who's counting?!
I have the same problem. Even when I use an epilator on my legs and the hair is all gone I still get the red spots. I'm going to have to try that Veet I've been eyeing it but it seems a little spendy.
I used to get those bumps all over my legs too. I've now found a razor I love. I use the Schick Quattro. The Intuition is my second fave. I can't remember the last time I nicked myself or got bumps. My husband recommended that I should try that Skintimate Aftershave gel. I use it when I get out of the shower. Between the two of those my legs don't get irritated or nicked. I also don't get bumps all over my inner thighs now. I use this stuff that's like ProActiv but it's at Wal-Mart. It's called Acne Free. I don't get bumps on my inner thighs anymore. HTH!
that could've been a picture of my leg right now!! Except a couple hours later those little red dots would be filled with little black hair follicles I have no advice for you but, just wanted to know that I can relate. I will definetly have to check out Magic Cream!
