Without going into too much detail, I want the, um, hair down there gone.
What works? What doesn't? What do you do?
Thanks.

Personally, I shave. Find it nice and easy. A lot of peopel get waxed but I can't go to a person and ask them to inflict pain down there on purpose. I;d rather do it myself with a razor. Use shaving cream though. And if ya get red bumps, they sell cream for that that works wonders.

I have shaved on occasion, but have recently given it up because last time I shaved again before the little (itchy!!) red bumps healed and I had about 10 little bloody spots! It was gross. I've tried using Bikini Zone on the bumps, but it doesn't really help me much. I also can't imagine going in to get that area waxed--way too embarassing. I'm tempted to try that Magic powder everyone is raving about, but I'm worried about causing damage to the sensitive skin. *That* would be an embarrasing ER visit! I bought some of the powder to use on dh's back, but we haven't tried it yet. The next time I want to remove the hair down there I'll probably just use my electric clippers. It won't be smooth, but at least the hair will be very short. Hopefully you'll get a response with something that really works (besides shaving, that is).
I used to use a regular razor to shave down there, but I also got irritation bumps. I decided to try a really good electric razor. It really does the trick. I use the same one I use for my legs and I still get a good result without the irritation.

I belive it's called a Lady Remington. I got it at Walmart, I believe for about $40. I think it gives a smooth result, but doesn't last as long as a regular razor does. You are supposed to use it every few days on your legs to keep them stubble free.

I agree, an electric razor works really well. I usually use that and then go over the "underneath" part with a regular razor and shave gel. I usually keep the front "mound" just trimmed short (less irritation and bumps that way). But for anything you want to shave, I definately recommend the electric razor first...
I used to also shave. I was never able to get good results with an electric razor though. I always used a new razor and Philosophy Razor Sharp. Razor Sharp is awesome! It is not exactly like a shaving cream because it doesn't lather but it allows you to get a very close shave. It is kinda pricey but a little goes a very long way. I also used an anti-bacterial soap before I shaved to make sure I didn't "drag" any bacteria into the area. On the occassions I did get razor bumps, I just applied a little hydrogen peroxide to the area. It gets a bit fizzy but does not burn at all and it helped to clear them up.
