I order my gluc from overseas, a UK pharmacy at mastersmarketing.com. Because of this I haven't called my doctor to renew my prescription in almost 2 years. My doctors know I take the medication and approve, but as I've just lost my health insurance and the glucophage is hella expensive, I really rely on being able to get that overseas shipment- I get it at $20 for a monthly supply that way.
But I've heard of a rash of recent seized shipments of medications coming in from canadian, mexican and overseas pharmacies and now I'm concerned. :|
Have any of you who get your medications from out of the country (US) had this problem? I'm freaked that I may end up with no medication at some point and have to pay $100 for a month's supply because of this- OMG!! :|

what a difference I shopped around walgreens cvs savon rite aid all had it around $95. you don't neefd a membership to use costco pharmacy
Shena, I have no idea! Luckily, my insurance covers most of my cost. I hope you don't have any problems!

I order my Met from Masters Marketing as well. In fact, my latest shipment arrived just yesterday. I'm in Canada so I don't know if that makes any difference, but I haven't had any problems receiving it.

However take heed as I mentioned the US is cracking down on foreign med shipments. Some get through and some don't these days it seems. :| I have never had a shipment confiscated before but who knows. :|
I do get brand name glucophage from them though ~ says so on the boxes and the boxes are straight from the manufacturer (have the med insert and everything). I have ordered a 3 month supply for like $45 or about $60 for the XR.

I checked the site out but am a little confused. Is the Met that they have listed the ER? My prescription is for Fortamet ER...what is the Metformin equivalent to that? Anyone know?

Jen, insurance won't cover the cost of buying the Met from foreign countries. But buying it from abroad is usually MUCH cheaper than buying it here without insurance.

Rochey, the different fillers sometimes cause weird interactions for people.
