Default shock slowly wearing off

Hello everyone! I found this website Tues. night after being told that day, that I probably have PCOS. I have been reading tons of posts and I think that I got very lucky w/ my new Ob. I have had irregular periods all my life as well as horrible unexplained pelvic pain. I have had 2 CT scans and 2 abdominal u/s w/ no diagnosis. I went to this new Ob on Tues. to find out why I have not conceived after a m/c 2 yrs. ago. She went over some of my hist. and then immediately did a transvag. u/s. As soon as she showed me my ovaries I knew something was wrong. I have the string of pearls on both ovaries. My Dr. told me that I am most likely not ovulating. I was completely shocked. By the time it wore off, on Wed. I was a crying mess. Now I am feeling some relief in finally knowing what has been wrong with me for all these years. I was on the pill f/20-25 and as soon as I went off of it I gained weight and had a ruptured ovarian cyst as well as a m/c.

sockmonkey- dont worry i was misdiagnosed and my old doc 'neglected to tell' me about my condition for about 7 years until the past february....ive have all the classic symptoms, pain the landed me in the er, irregular "uh hums" and unexplained weight gain while dieting and exercising..not to mention an increase in breakouts, and tons of other symptoms. these all set in after stopping the pill when i was 18..im 20 now and finally ive figured out whats wrong with me...all thanks to a new doc. i am sooo grateful!! hes one of my favorite people now! ive also had all the procedures youve had...its just ridiculous but its life! just hang in there, you will get better. for the weight gain my doc has put me on the south beach diet, im on day 7 today and feel pretty good, my b/f says ive lost weight already, but we will see with my weigh in this morning ! lol good luck if you need anything just message me!

I was on the pill for 5 yrs. F/20-25 and as soon as I went off I started having all sorts of problems. It's frustrating to keep going to doctors that brush you off and tell you everything is fine when you know it's not!

Hi!
I am also waiting to take tests. I am supposed to have blood drawn on the 3rd. day of my menstrual cycle and 18 days after that. Soooo I'm just waiting on my cycle to begin and who knows when that'll be considering I'm so irregular! I would love to stay in touch. Maybe we can commiserate on our blood tests and ultrasounds?
