Were you already following the things she told you? The dietary recommendations and such? If so, then you need to ask why she'd suggest things you're already doing.
As for the long visits, that is totally normal when visiting a naturopath. The first can be an hour long and at the end all you have to show for it is having had a long conversation about yourself. Normal. It's outside the box and different from the way we're used to being treated by medical professionals, who are more "treat 'em and street 'em" than "listen and think about an approach."

Do you feel any better than early last month?

I went to the other natrupath I was talking about she had 15 min free consultation.she is actually really knowledgeable.she spent almost 30min with me.
I'm planing to go back to her but I'm still waiting for my blood tests which I honestly dont know when I can do it.it supposeto be on 3rd day of my period but haven't had my period for 40 days now.
btw I found a really good endo in womens college hospital,DR Rosario Briones-urbina
she thinks I may not have pcos rather adrenal problem.so yeah things are getting better for sure.

Pamela Frank...her office is at yonge and Eglington.
she is very nice.I'm not sure how she can help but honestly she is way better than the last Dr I saw.
you can tell ....free consultation was only for 15 min and she spend almost 40 min with me.
not like the other Dr who was constantly checking the time .. talking crap for the whole hour.not worth it at all.

Hi there,
I spent a small fortune on Naturopathic care in the summer of 2007. (Over $1200)
I never got sicker faster!!
All of my symptoms became dramatically worse under these two kooks care (Dr. Melanie Facca of Oakville and Sharon Hauck.)
I gained weight...nearly 20 poinds. My blood pressure went thru the roof.
I finally sat and talked with both of them about why I was getting so much worse AFTER a Naturopath became involved and they became vague and unresponsive. They had given me the impression they had great success treating this condition but I ended up not believing them what-so-ever. I felt lied to, deceived and broke by the time I stopped seeing them.
I had interviewed them up front to make sure they knew what they were talking about. They assured me Naturopathic care was the best route for me and it turned out to be the absolute worse decision. Be careful!
Well, at least I'm not the only one, looks like their are plenty other women who have gone down the same road as I have.
I've been deceived as well.......but rest assured that those who lie and deceive others will eventually get a taste of their own medicine.
I had called the naturopathic college clinic in Toronto before I went to see these two women. I was really pushed into buying time with 'training naturopaths' to get help....it was something like $60 for two visits or something like that. I kept asking the 'student' who answered the clinic phone what they would do and why should i pay this money....he kept saying that i needed to pay and find out....and i kept asking for information and he kept push- selling...until finally he suddenly sounded like he was whispering into the phone and he said that Naturopaths can't really help Stein Leventhal PCOD and that I should look elsewhere....but he didn`t want people to know that he had just said that to me.
I was so frustrated that they tried to push me into getting time at the clinic instead of just telling me that up front.
My sister met up with one of the naturopaths listed above and she assured her that tons could be done for me....why had i not been to see her already.....and that nautropathic treatment was the way to go. I was shocked because this completely contradicted what i had already been told. I had an appointment with that naturopath and she made promises and assurances and bla bla bla bla....i was so depserate i fell for it.
and the check book came out....
I told them both that I had been told directly from the ND College that they could not help so what was it they could do?....They said I had to trust....I had to try....
And then I got sicker than ever.....
my blood pressure got so high i was not allowed to leave my Endocrinologists office until it went down. She said I was at a very high risk of having a stroke.
When i reminded both of the ND`s of my inital information when my health went into a steady decline....they became 'jello to a wall'. I could not pin down any of their previous statements.
It was one of the worst experiences I have had..in so far as having this condition.
I was completely conned.
It was simply a cash grab.
