Default Should I ask for different meds?

Hey cysters!! I have been on BCP's for 3 years. I am 19 years old and have recently started having more pain in my ovaries and migranes than I used to. Also (TMI) my periods have gotten really light and really only mainly brown clumps no real blood except for maybe one day. My migranes are so strong i can't think and my eyes hurt and it's just starting to get miserable. My mom thinks that when I go for my yearly check up in Dec. if I should try and switch medicines. Maybe my BCP's have stopped working or something. Do any of you have any advice or idea's on this. What should I do?

I have heard that long use of BCP can cause migraines. Maybe you just need to be switched to a different kind? All I know is that you should really get it checked out, you don't have to live like that.

Hi cyster,
:Hugs: Migraines are so awful. I had them often while I was on BCP. We were ready to ttc so I came off the BCP instead of switching, sorry I'm not much help there. I don't have migraines often now, but when I do, it's almost always around my period.

Hope you feel better hun
Hugs
Jenny
