I saw my RE today, and he said my body is ready to start TTC again. He wants me to take Clomid and he will use ultrasound to determine when to use a trigger shot. Do you think I should still temp, or is it not going to be helpful because my RE will be monitoring me?

I still temp even though I'm on monitored Clomid, trigger, and IUI cycles. I think I find it most beneficial to my fellow cysters. I have it posted in my signature, so it makes it easy for anyone on here to check out what's going on with me.

I was wondering the same thing. I've also decided to stop wasting my money on OPKs since u/s is way more accurate, esp. for me since I have tons of false positives since I have high LH.

i think it depends on what you want to accomplish. Are you currently temping? you will know when you ovulate based on the trigger shot, so it won't help you pinpoint your O. BUT it could help prepare you for a BFN/BFP toward the end of your cycle, based on if your temp drops or not.
I go back and forth, sometimes i do sometimes i don't.

I'll temp no matter what. I think it'd be exciting to see the temperature shift and be prepared for AF if temperature drops. Plus, I'd like to add my charts for the resources for all the ladies here and on FF. Plus it gives me a base line for a typical chart for me during an ovulatory cycle.

My RE told me it was pointless to temp and just adds more stress. So, I didn't listen to him the first two months and then DH took away and hide my thermometer!!! I have been searching the house for it, and haven't had a chance to get a new one. It is less stressful, but I like to know whats going on in the tww.

That's funny, Sheera! My RE chuckled when I said today that I still temp. But he understands women wanting to watch how their cycle is going.

I personally really like temping because it can tell you a lot about your cycle.
Just so you know, though, your temps way be a bit wacky on the Clomid. Mine were really high almost all the way til ovulation this cycle. You can check out my chart in my sig (I'm ALWAYS below 98.0 before ovulation when not on Clomid).
