Question should I get checked out for IR?

i'm a thin cyster and my RE said that b/c i'm thin i'm not IR. so they didn't test for it when i went in for fertility treatment. i did pass the standard GTT test during pregnancy and i just had my yearly check up and my blood sugar levels were normal. however, i'm curious about my being IR b/c i have the worst sugar cravings. it's worse than my friend's sugar cravings and i have a hard time not eating the entire bag of candy if it's in front of me. i run and work in the city so i get enough exercise but i've always been thin and have always had these sweet cravings. should i push for testing?

TIA!

Yes! Ask for a glucose tolerance test w/ insulin levels. A regular GTT won't give you a complete pic. Your blood sugar levels could look normal but your insulin levels could be high.
At this point in your life you may get enough exercise to cancel out the effects of insulin resistance. I have known thin people who have gotten type 2 diabetes which is caused by insulin resistance. Just ask your doctor to humor you and order the test! It can't hurt!
Good Luck!
