I was diagnosed with PCOS about 10 years ago. I am currently 30. I saw an endocrinologist a few times, and took spirnolactane for hair growth but have been off of it for many years.
I have only ever had one ovarian ultrasound (10 years ago), and they said there were no cysts there.
I experience obesity. (Weigh 240 - 5'7), very thick in the middle, loss of hair in my bangs area. Tons of facial hair, as well as arms, and tons in the bikini line.
Also, I suspect my 70 year old aunt has PCOS too (Never Diagnosed) but she has just been diagnosed with uterine cancer..
I guess it is a wake-up call for me that I should get myself looked after.
I may be hoping to become pregnant in the next few years, and would like to know if PCOS will cause a problem...
Thanks Guys, any input would be great!!!
Also, I was thinking about using natural progesterone cream...Any thoughts?
I agree, just go get treatment. My friend took natural progesterone and got pregnant, twice. I am on met, not ttc, but it is working wonders for my weight loss and clearing up my skin.
I agree with the cysters, get treatment. If you start with a new doctor that doctor will probably run more blood test. Every cyster is different, some of us have more symptoms than others, but we all still have PCOS.
