Just wondering as I am on my first round of Provera and af showed up after only 4 days of taking the pills. I was prescribed 10 days worth. Is it okay for me to stop the pills? I went ahead and took it on day 5 because I wanted to be sure af was here, and boy is she ever, lol! I used to stop prometrium once af showed, so didn't know if it was the same or not. I just didn't want to continue taking the Provera and pro-long af or anything. Any suggestions?

I was told to finish taking the entire 10 pills even if AF comes.
But I think its best if you call your doctor and ask

thanks for responding. I actually contact RE this morning and she said to stop Provera if I had a good flow. Thankfully I do so that's one medicine I can stop, lol! Feel like a walking drug store lately!

Gracie.... "feel like a walking drug store..." Don't we all. I usually start while I'm taking Provera too! After taking it about 7 of the 10 days.

Glad that you don't have to take the full amount!

I always take all the pills. I'm given 5 days worth and starts 3 days after the last pill.
