Should I be worried yet?

My doctor put me on Provera a month ago to start my period before I started BCPs. I took it for five days, started four days later, then started BCPs right away.

The problem is, the BCPs haven't stopped my period. My flow has been what I'd guess is normal, except that it has lasted three weeks. I haven't worried about it because I know the Provera can take a while to do it's thing, and I hadn't had a period in a year before it, so I assume there's a lot for it to do.

But now I'm on my placebo pills instead of active BCPs and AF is really heavy and clotty (enough to bother me, but not as bad as some stories I've read on here). Obviously, the BCPs were keeping AF a little under control.

Anyway, should I be worried at this point? In the past (on my own), I've bled for close to a month after not getting AF for a year, but this time it's A LOT heavier, and I'm frustrated and feeling like this is never going to end!

I would call your Dr. If you bleed too much it can be very hard on your body. Maybe this is "normal" for you, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure your Dr knows what is going on.
