Default Should my Met Rx be increased?

I have been taking 500 mg of Met since September 2001 and it has worked great in regards to making AF show up. I started using the fertility monitor about 5 months ago. I o'd the first two months but nothing since. Is that indicative of a need to increase the Met (I was o'ing before the monitor too)? Or does Met just serve to bring on AF, not o?

Were you the 2 o's you recorded on the monitor induced by Clomid (you mention using it till Sept 02 in your sig)?
In any case, whether you were taking Clomid or not those 2 cycles, you should definitely consider increasing the dose if met is bringing on AF but no o. I get o from it, but I o late (CD 18 to 25). I take 850mg 3xday (maximum dose). Even if it doesn't make you o every month, it can help with future fertility treatments. Good luck!

Thanks for replying - I was browsing a little more and thought maybe what I was asking was redundant.

I am still on the Clomid - just upped 9/02, so yes, the two recorded o's were Clomid induced. I was hoping to see an o this month but I am CD21 now and when I started I o'd on CD11. Man, those sticks are expensive when you're using 20/month! I am still getting AF every 35 days like clockwork - it's just that the o has disappeared. So next visit in Feb to gyno I should ask to go to 1000 (at least)? TIA

Yes, that might be good.
Also, consider u/s scanning of the ovaries during your cycle to see if you are developing follicles. It can happen that you miss the LH surge when testing with opk, or that you are developing follicles but they are not gettting released. In the case of no release, a shot of hcg would help to make you o.
