Default Shouldn't it stop?

I guess I'm looking for some reassurance that this is normal....

I am on Tri Cyclen...this is only my second month. But years ago I was on birth control, so it's not a completely new thing to me.

When I started the placebo pills, my period started within a couple days. So once I started the normal ones back up, the bleeding didn't stop. Today will be day 4 since taking the real pills again, and I am still bleeding!!!

When I had taken BCP before, I remember the bleeding stopping within a day or two.

This scares me because only a couple months ago I had a bad episode of me bleeding heavily (as in a pad an hour) for about 2 weeks. This is the reason I am on BCP to begin with. Last night the bleeding has slowed down quite a bit, and I was excited that it was going to stop by today. But I woke up this morning and it's back to bleeding

Is this normal?? Can it take this many days for it to stop? It doesn't make sense that I should bleed for an extra week then I am supposed to.

I had the same problem with the Tri Cylen Lo, I had to switch to something a little higher. I am now on Ortho Cylen. My doctor said to give the Tri a full 3 months and the bleeding should get normal and not do what you are expeierencing. I never did.
I hope that this helps.

Thanks.

Hopefully with time, it won't do this anymore. It's really frustrating.
