Default New feeling: Crawling and tickling

Thus far I have only really felt ticks and pops and flutters ... they've gotten stronger and stronger ... but the last two days I've felt this funny feeling, I don't know if it's the baby-to-be or my growing or what ...

But just at about bellybutton level on my left side, I occasionally feel this ... crawling sensation ... like someone tickling me softly from the inside ... or like a spider is crawling along my abdomen from the inside ...

it's kinda creepy ... my inclination is to take my hand and try to 'smooth it out.'

So ... what is it? Is it the baby moving, but I'm noticing it in a new way, or what?

You are going to give birth to a spider.

Nah, probably the baby! I feel rolling sensations lately...I have the impression that my baby is just rolling and rolling to his/her heart's content. I don't know if that's right, but that's how it feels.

Default Yup, it's probably the baby moving....

I have a confession to make. For some reason, especially this pregnancy, some movements make me nauseous. It is usually those crawly sensations. I don't know if it is the way she lying or what, but it really has me going some days!

I sometimes get a bit nauseous, too! The baby's movements are my favorite things in the entire world, but sometimes (especially when they surprise me) I almost feel like I'm going down a high elevator or on a roller coaster, because my stomach feels like it's sinking! Weird.

So, yes, I'd say you're feeling the baby.

Thanks for the help ladies! I couldn't figure it out because it was so ... foreign to my body ...

"The itsy bitsy spider ... " might just be this babe's first lullaby ...

    One more thing, Snowbunny---

Just wait until you not only feel but SEE the movements! It's so bizarre to see your belly jumping up and down, or to see a lump on the left all of the sudden move to the right!

Spoooooooky! Belly-watching has become my and DH's favorite pasttime.

Ahh yes..belly watching is lots of fun!
I feel the crawling/rolling sensations too. Sometimes it feels like a mini earthquake is going on in my belly.

Geez...that's exactly how I've been trying to explain it to my doctor! It feels like that first big drop on a roller coaster when you hit the bottom and your tummy drops down to your toes. It's hard to explain and it feels weird.

Awww, I miss my baby's movements. That was my favorite part of pregnancy. It really helped secure a bond between us that no one else could experience.

My baby used to scratch the inside around my belly button, too. It was really odd and sometimes made me laugh out loud.

    Enjoy it while you can.
