* Diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16.
* 6 failed Clomid cycles over 3 years
* HSG 8/07 showed one blockage, dr. isn't sure if its a true blockage or a spasm ??
* 11/07 - first RE visit! Taking Provera & Prenatals to induce AF, dh's SA will be scheduled soon!

JUst read this posting about hirsuitism and pcos and its a comprehensive piece and eduative.
PLs do any one have an idea about herbal remedies to stop hair loss,my head is almost hairless and am considering shaving the remaining patchey ones.Any suggestion will be appreciated..Thanks

AMAZING ARTICLE. I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and have been dealing with facial hair and stubborn hair else where that just seemed to have sprouted over the past few years. I'm 20 and excessive hair is such a blow to the ego. Although I've been removing the hair through a process called threading I find my hair is growing faster and thicker. This really gave me some insight on what to do. I'm going to be starting off with birth control. Hopefully it'll make a major change.

great info Kat ... I get tired of explaining what is "wrong " with me to my husband ... he is caring ... just doesnt get it . Now that he has some of his questions answered in B&W ...HE GETS IT!!
Nice article with great references to medications, both to help this problem, and those that make it worse.
One medication I didn't see listed (maybe it was overlooked) was TOPOMAX. When I was taking it I saw and increase in my already very dark, course facial hair.
