I wrote an article about celebs with PCOS a while ago. I'm sure there are many more than the ones I listed, but the information is scarce. Are they ashamed of it, or being told not to talk about it? I take issue with the phrase below the title that "worst of all, it may make you infertile." They could have written something different. Not that infertility isn't a terrible thing to deal with - I've had years of struggling with it myself. But, although they do discuss the other health implications further down in the article, I would have preferred to find the other health problems related to PCOS a little more front and center.
I guess it's a reflection of the fact that many women are only diagnosed when they aren't able to conceive naturally, so that is the top priority for those women. But, reading only the top part could make some women who might have PCOS decide not to read the article if they aren't having problems conceiving or don't want to. JMHO

PCOS is aimed around pregnancy in most instances... I strongly feel it should be around a woman's health in general... Heart disease is a priority that starts at a young age... Overweight to obesity starts even younger in ages... Pregnancy is when we are like 18 (give or take ages)... But our lipids, blood pressure, etc... are through our ages... Heck, we are born with PCOS! Thyroid problems were the biggest diagnosis for years in women... All along most of them had PCOS...
The point is to get the attention of every women plus everyone else! I feel if everyone was aware many relationships, marriages, abuse, suicides, etc.... would be avoided!

Yes celebs with PCOS should come forward, at least then we know we are not alone and have someone to indentify with. I was very sad to hear that it was a life long thingy and not cure but only to maintain and control this
