Wink When does the baby move up into the stomache

I am almost 9 weeks pregnant. When does the baby move out of the pelvis and into the stomache? When does the baby start to move around so I can feel it?

I'm 24 weeks now and my uterus is about 2 inches above my belly botton. I felt my first movement at 10 weeks..although its VERY rare to feel anything that early. I think I started feeling regular movement around 16 weeks, but even then it was just one little flutter every few days..Since about 20 weeks I have been able to feel and SEE my baby move everyday.

I know that early in pregnancy you just can't wait to look pregnant and feel your baby, but don't worry it will happen!

Well...the baby moves up a little as each week passes by-I think I had a little bump in my tummy starting around 12 weeks but I'm having twins, not sure if that made a difference or not. I started feeling some fluttering in there at 16 weeks, I felt definate movement/strong kicks starting at 20 weeks.

According to my maternity textbooks, the baby is supposed to move up starting in the 2nd trimester. You are supposed to be able to feel the baby move (it'll feel like a flutter) between weeks 16-20.

I thought it was 12 weeks it moves out of the pelvis. But everyone is different. With this pregnancy at my 12 week appointment they found the hb above my pevis almost to the belly button.... but it's probably cause my uterus is used to streaching and it just did it a little ahead of time.

I'm 22wks & mine is bouncing all over the place. Also she's just above my belly button. Each week or so it moves a bit higher. I think I felt "flutters" around 10wks? I can't remember for sure.

I heard hb with doppler @ 11 weeks.. so about then she must have been just above my pelvis, and felt her tiny kicks @ 17 weeks (flutters mainly) and feel her kicks almost constant now.. None painful yet.. just like someone thumping you from inside LOL..

Thank you for all of the answers. When I push down on my pelvis, I feel a hard mass could I be feeling the baby or is it too early?

Celtic ~ It is perfectly possible that you feel your uterus.. I know when I was 6 weeks and went in the Dr. pushed on my pelvis and said that it felt about 6 weeks from the size of my uterus.. Baby is still way to tiny to feel though!

    Congrats again!

Perfect Data I laughed out loud when I saw your message. I guess I should try not to want to rush things and just enjoy things as they happen.

Nspear I think you are right and what I am feeling is my utereus. I just noticed that I could feel this hardness that I usually never feel when I lie down. Of course wishful thinking that it is baby but I know baby is way to small right now.
