Interesting tip, ladies! Is anyone else trying this? I had read that peppermint tea also lowered testosterone, and already have some from Trader Joe's. Does anyone know if it is just as effective as spearmint?

    Thanks!!

I'd be curious too since I have the spearmint/peppermint mix and that's all I can seem to find around here.

Well spearmint is supposed to be much milder than peppermint which made me curious as to why spearmint was being pushed for PCOS and not the peppermint because you would think that the same properties would exist and perhaps be far more effective in the stronger peppermint. I just bought some spearmint from the local vitamin store and it was way too expensive per box but I'm willing to give it a try to see if maybe it'll have an effect and slowing down hair growth so that hair removal in my problem spots will at least last a lot longer and not require so much maintenance although I'm having good luck with the epilady at keeping some hair growth at bay. I like the taste of spearmint although I do add some honey and I won't be drinking more than two cups a day so I think that it won't have as heavy an impact as say drinking green tea all day long or drinking 2 cups of the full strength peppermint every day. Everything that people say is good for you that everyone jumps on will eventually be negated down the line putting everyone in a panic and then finally someone will put out an article that weighs the pros and cons showing that for every yin there's a yang and it's up to you to choose your balance.

I've been drinking spearmint tea, just about every other day, 1 to 2 cups on the day that I drink it. I must say I have noticed a different in my facial hair, they seem a lot thinner and seem to be growing at a slower paste.

Been drinking this since the third week of June, twice at day (at least) and have noticed a reduction in the coarseness and amount of hair. Have also had a menstrual cycle.. the 2nd in one year! Normally I get 1 a year. Had one in April and just finished up another. This time round was way less heavy, less clots, less crampy!!

Oh.. and 5 days shorter than normal too!

Seconded and it's been less than a week of tea drinking for me. It's to the point where I'm almost looking for facial hair where there is none b/c I'm so used to having a certain routine before putting on make-up but now it's a snap and I move on to the make-up'ing much faster. The harder to reach places with my epilady (mostly b/c of the design of the epilady, it could easily be shaved off) which would always have a little bit of hair left that I would painfully pluck is completely bare now. Yay!

I started drinking spearmint tea today. I think my tummy hair was about 1/10 of an inch long~I shave it once a week (the morning of my accupuncture appt) I'll see how much that changes over the couse of this week. I don't like the taste of tea but this one wasn't too bad. I used 1 tea bag for the day and have drank 2 cups of tea for the day.

Would definitely give it a try. Does anyone know of an online store that would ship to canada (for cheap prices) and has loose tea? I have tried looking for the tea in stores but its either combined with peppermint or something else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !
