Default How do you know if your follicles have eggs?

How are they able to tell if your follicle has eggs and is not just a cyst?

I am taking 100mg Clomid on cd 4-8 and had a follicle scan yesterday and had 3 eggs(10.5mm, 9mm and 7mm). My E2 level was at 163.

Is that enough to tell if these follies will mature so that we can trigger and do the IUI?

    Thanks!!

Isn't the follicle considered an immature egg??

I believe a cyst can be formed if the follicle doesn't mature enough to release the egg. Here's a link about cysts: http://www.emedicinehealth.com/ovari...article_em.htm

E2 levels should be between 200 - 600 per mature follicle (18mm or larger) and follicles grow between 1.5 - 2mm per day. Will they be doing another u/s to see your progress??

I have another scan tomorrow morning. I have had pretty much constant aching in my right ovary area. hopefully that means they are growing like gangbusters!
