Default Abdominal Pain - Below Rib Cage - Above Belly Button

I just got off the phone with advice nurse. I have been having this stomach pain for the last 48 to 72 hours. No other symptoms, just hurts more when I eat. I haven't had any surgery ... in fact I don't have any problems besides my thyroid (of which is normal). Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you! I ended up going to the ER this morning and was dx with gastritis (ulcer). I was put on some meds for the acid in my stomach and they are running a few more tests to see if they will need to put me on antibiotics. They said it will be a couple of weeks until my stomach starts to feel better. At least I know that everything else is ok, it can be fix.

Yes, and it turned out that I had an ulcer. I've was rx'd abx and antacids, and it cleared up after about 3 weeks.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, I hope you recover soon!

It sounds like H-Pylori (sp?) I had this several years ago. It was horrible!!! I was so sick. The Dr put me on this med that had me taking 22 pills a day for 30 days. It was horrible at 1st but it really started to help after about 2 weeks.

I hope you feel better soon!
