Default BFN 12 days post IUI... still hope?

I am only two days away from 14 days past my first IUI- and since 8 days past IUI i have had nothing but BFNs. This is mmy first IUI so not sure when to expect AF- but not even one sign of her yet? Seems like i am convinced that it did not happen this time and i am just ready for AF to get it over with- anyone think of a reason to still have hope this time?

How in he world do you keep from HPTs? I can't help it- i had a bunch of internet cheapies and then i got a FREP for tuesday before i go into the dr- becasue i just have to prepare myself for the news....... i have gotten BFN...... so i was like you- now i have just given up and thinking of anything different i can do next time. My dr will do a urine test before blood on tuesday. I just do not think that magically i will get a BFP after today. I have had so many symptoms come and go since the IUI- i gave up trying to figure them out becasue there is just no sure way to know if it is the meds - Pregnancy- or AF...... drives me so nutty i can't stand myself.... so i am just trying to calm down and accept that this may take a few more tries. What meds are you on?

I took 4 cycles serophene this year, then was thing to do different med way.
1st follicle IUI trigger short on 9-24, insemination on 9-25, and 9-26, now 10 days past from IUI. My DR told me it takes 2 weeks to take blood test. I noticed since 9-28, Sunday night, a little blood when I went to the bathroom. and I am still spotting. It isn't a lot...nothing to where I need to use something. It is just when I go the bathroom. Is that could be implantation bleeding? many treads here said the same problem. I thought implantation took place about 7DPO.

Have you ever had this happen? What was causing it? Any ideas would be helpful.

For my last IUI I got my period 11dpIUI... never made it to test. Today is 10dpIUI and I am so nervous every time I go to the bathroom that it will come. I hold off on testing because I am so afraid of getting a positive but having it be a false one due to the trigger shot, so I just hold off so I don't make myself more crazy. But it's so hard!

With my BFP, I started spotting at 12 DPO and figured it was too late for implantation bleeding so I thought AF was coming and didnt' do an HPT. At 14 DPO the spotting stopped but no AF (not typical for me). I did an HPT which had the faintest of faint lines, so I thought it was just evaporation line. Went to Dr at 16 DPO and BFP. I continued to POAS for a few days just to see, and the lines got slightly darker, but never that obvious line you see in commercials.

so, you definitely still have a shot. Good luck!

UmmMudd- did you docotor say why you didn't get a bfp until so late? were you just waiting on AF? With clomid i had really long cycles- like 35 days.... so i wasn't sure about follistim and trigger shot- i mean with the trigger shot there is no guessing when i Oed...... dr says that if i am preggers i will know by 14days after IUI...... ao i m curious why so late with you? I have NO signs of AF- so i don't know. I am not testing today- going to wait until tomorrow.

and about the spotting that i was asked about- I have not spotted the entire time. I spotted from the proceedure for about 3 days and then nothing since then. I had cramping on9 days post iui- but no spottign that day. So i am not sure about implantation- some notice it and some never know- hard to tell really.

Thank you all for posting! The fact that AF is not here gives me hope and that some of you got BFN right up until day 14 or after. I am not in the rythm of these new cycles and meds- so i am not sure how soon after tomorrow i will start my next cycle- my dr tends to induce AF because i do not usually get her on my own- unless i ovulate- and i am sure that i did so i may just tell him i want to wait for her.

I got a BFN yesterday at 14DPO with no signs of AF coming, but after hearing you didn't get your BFP until 24DP, I have a little more hope for this cycle. I can stop tearing up! Thanks!

Ok i am kinda freaking out- not sure if i am seeing things! I said i was not going to POAS today and wait until tomorrow- but mid day after having to pee for the 4th time since waking up- I decided to since i found a couple hidden internet cheapies...... i know i am seeing the faintest line... i even went so far as to have my 8 year old son look at 3 test to compare- one from yesterday nothing- and then two i took today- one quite a while ago that you can see a thin line not very dark though and then the most recent a faint line too- so probably not a dud test.( my eight year old could pick the two with the faint lines) I am not going to call it a bfp yet- should be darke tomorrow - plus i am going to take a FREP in the am before i go into the clinic and let them do one too....... pray for me prayfor me..... I just keep staring and staring

The day I had my blood test done I had an appointment with the gyno for my yearly. I got a VERY faint line there, but it even had the nurse wondering....and that was 15 or 16 dpo. I think it's still too early to throw in the towel!! My bloodwork that day came back BFP...God bless!!

was the VERY faint- like you could barely see it- yet you could still make out a line everytime you looked at it? I think i will ask for a blood test as tomorrow.
