    Default Ovary pain AFTER ovulation?

This is my first month on Femara and really have had virtually no side effects.

I'm 5DPO but I'm feeling more tugging around my ovaries now than I did before O. My temp dropped a little yesterday and a little today. I'm not accustomed to ovulating. Is this normal? lol

I'm trying to stay positive but I'm feeling a bit like this just isn't going to be my month.
    Metformin ER - 1000 mg
    Synthroid - 100 mcg
Prenatals, Vitamin C, Zinc, B-12, D-3, blah blah blah...

I do not ovulate despite what the lying ticker says. :p

I kinda asked this question a couple of days ago because I was trying to figure out when it was most likely I actually O'd. I had pain in one ovary for a good three days, moreso on the first, but then on and off through this 2ww there's been ongoing twinges and tugs in both sides.
I think it is normal - the textbooks will tell you pain/discomfort can be felt before, during and/or after ovulation - depends on the woman to what's causing the symptom. The corpus luteum that's left on the ovary after ovulation could possibly be felt? They can get rather large I think.
Keeping taking your temps, it may go back up again - 5dpo is kinda early for it to drop for AF. Was O confirmed?

csang, I could just hug you! lol I have no idea why this is happening but it feels just like what you're saying. Mine is mostly on my left but it feels like it's being pulled, pinched, poked and prodded! It's happening a little on my right but not nearly as bad.

I sure hope someone comes in to give us good news! Heck, at this point, I'd just like some news.

Hi kiwicyster! My O wasn't confirmed by a doctor but I had positive OPK, fertile CM, temp dip and FF said so. LOL!

The only reason I worry about the drop for AF is because of my short luteal phase last month. This month's and last month's charts are in my siggy.

    Good luck to you!

I still can't see siggys coz I'm just new here few more posts to go.

But that's awesome you had the OPK and the temp. dip... congrats!

I did a quick google to get my head around Femara (I'm not taking drugs) and I'm no doctor (student naturopath actually) but I wouldn't be surprised that the pain you guys are getting is from the ovarian stimulation and change in hormones. I have poking and prodding in there too and I'm only on natural progesterone cream. And if you haven't ovulated by yourself before or for a long time, who knows if you released only one eggy or more?
I've also heard women quote they've ovulated twice, but at different times in one cycle (like a day later). You know those crazy stories of fraternal twins with seperate fathers... Not sure if this is true, don't think a Dr would agree, but stranger things have happened! lol

Hopefully your luteal phase will be longer this month from the Femara. It is why I'm using the NPC.
